Fire Rated Evaporative Cooling and Humidification Media

Key Benefits

bullet

Fire rated UL® 900, Class II

bullet

High evaporative efficiency

bullet

Self-cleaning design

bullet

Simple to maintain

Made from a flame retardant material fortified with special rigidifying agents

"THE" media choice where strict adherence to fire codes is required

Shallow, unequal angle flute design allows high velocity air flow with minimal resistance and water droplet carryover

Resists clogging caused by dust, sand or other debris

Self-cleaning design directs more water towards the air entering face of the pad to flush away dirt and debris

Unique cross fluted design with unequal angle pads induce highly turbulent air and water mixing for optimal heat and moisture transfer.

TuF edg Protective Edge Treatment option available

bullet

    Algae and weather resistant

bullet

Extends service life of the pads

bullet

    Scrubbable

Ordering Information

ATEC/Indirex prices all media on either the square foot or cubic foot basis, therefore it is important to understand the standard dimensional information:

Evaporative Cooling Media 45/15 flute angles with ~1/4" flute height

Standard Media Heights:   18",24",30",36",48",60",72"

Standard Media Depths:  4", 6", 8", 12" (12" media - stock item)

    (18" depth = 1pc 12d + 1pc 6d)

Standard Media Widths:  12"

Distribution Pad 45/45 flute angles with TUFedg on two sides

Standard Pad Depth: 2"

Standard Pad Width: 12" (18"W = 12"+6")

Standard Pad Length: 12",18",24",30",36",48",60",72"

All other Depths, Widths, and Heights are cut to order and customer pays drop charge up to next standard dimension.

Useful formulas:

Cubic Feet of Kuul Media = Depth (Inches) X Width (Inches) X Height (Inches)

1728

Square Feet of Distribution Pad = Width (Inches) X Length (Inches)

144

Example:

Evaporative Cooler Unit Dimensions:

Depth = 18" (in direction of airflow) a standard dimension

Width = 126" standard width = 12" or 24" next standard increment of width = 132"

Height = 68" including 2" dist. pad standard height = 72" cut media to 66"H

Media cubic feet = (18" X 132" X 72") / 1728 = 99.0 cubic feet

Distribution Pad square feet = (18" X 132") / 144 = 16.5 square feet

We would be glad to send you more information or a sample to test.
